Mastering Mountains Charitable Trust and Multiple Sclerosis New Zealand are excited to receive applications for the 2020 Mastering Mountains Grant. This grant is now open to people who have been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis or Functional Neurological Disorder.
The Mastering Mountains Grant is all about enabling Kiwis to experience life-changing adventures. Mastering Mountains believes that anyone can enjoy the incredible value of getting outside and achieving a goal.
Adventures come in all shapes and sizes. Past grant recipients have learned nordic walking, so that they can return to a favourite coastal walkway. Others have received personal training in order to achieve a life-long cycling ambition. Mastering Mountains Charitable Trust is here to support you as you work towards a goal, whether it’s a walk, run, cycle or climb.
This year, the Trust is supporting local, and has chosen to fund additional domestic grants. The Trust did not offer this year’s international Expedition Grant due to travel restrictions resulting from Covid-19. Instead, they are looking forward to supporting a greater number of local adventures, so please be sure to apply.
Mastering Mountains is also expanding its focus to include applications from people who have been diagnosed with Functional Neurological Disorder. This is an exciting development that will bring support to people with this common but poorly recognised condition.
Successful applicants will also receive prizes from Macpac and MitoQ.

Applications are open until October 31st, 2020.
