Bangers to Bluff – Fundraising Car Rally

Bangers to Bluff 25th March – 5th April 2025

MSNZ is thrilled to announce that we have once again been selected as a masthead charity for the 2025 Bangers to Bluff 12-day car rally, organized by the Rotary Club of Half Moon Bay (Inc). This exciting annual event not only supports MSNZ but also several other deserving charities, with over $400,000 raised for good causes in the past nine years!

An Adventure Like No other!

Participants will embark on an unforgettable journey, driving ‘bangers’—vehicles costing less than $2000—from Auckland to Bluff. This unique rally takes teams through scenic, lesser-known routes across iconic regions, creating lasting memories and thrilling experiences. With 18 teams and support crews, the rally promises excitement, camaraderie, and plenty of fun challenges along the way.

Kick-off on 25th March!

On March 25th, the adventurous teams will hit the road. Supported by MSNZ and various regional MS societies encountered along the way, raising funds and increasing awareness of multiple sclerosis in their communities. Teams will compete for trophies in a variety of engaging challenges, adding to the rally’s spirit of friendly competition.

Help Us Make a Difference!

We invite you to be part of this incredible journey by sponsoring our team, ‘Keep Smyelin’. Our goal is to raise $20,000 to improve the lives of those impacted by multiple sclerosis in Aotearoa New Zealand. Your support can make a significant impact!

‘Keep Smyelin’ are taking to the road in their banger, below. We have every confidence it will make it all the way to Bluff, travelling 2,300kms, without any flat tyres, broken fan belts or empty fuel tanks……unlike previous years bangers!
