MS: Busting the Myths
There are a number of Institutes providing health research grants for studies in New Zealand:
The Trust is currently funding a feasibility study into the establishment of a national registry of all people with MS in New Zealand. A National Registry is seen as an essential step in assisting further MS Research, equitable allocation of treatment resources, determining MS prevalence and tracking & evaluating the impact of treatment in the New Zealand population.
It will also enable researchers to leverage off global data and share their findings with the wider international MS community.
While the establishment of a national registry is currently their main funding focus, the trust welcomes other applications for MS Research funding for its consideration.

Lottery Health Research provides grants to organisations for health research that will improve the health
status of New Zealanders. Grants may support:

The HRC are the agency responsible for managing the Government’s investment in health research.
They support research that has the potential to improve health outcomes and delivery of healthcare,
and to produce economic gains for New Zealand.

CMRF supports medical research to improve health outcomes locally in Canterbury, with global impact. Focused on enabling world-class medical researchers, both emerging and more experienced and thus retaining intellectual research capital in Canterbury.
Grants are offered across several areas to support Medical Researchers throughout Canterbury to achieve their goals.
